Santa Fe $5,577,820 <br /> Springs <br />A total of six bids were received and all but one were responsive. Hardy <br />& Harper, Inc. (HHI) submitted a bid in an amount of $4,613,000. <br />Following the bid opening, HHI requested to be relieved of their bid, <br />stating that they had inadvertently omitted the cost of material when <br />they filled out the price for Bid Item 2, "Remove and replace ac <br />pavement." After examining HHI's bid and other support documents, staff <br />has found sufficient grounds for the relief and therefore, recommends <br />that HHI's request be granted. The lowest responsive bid was submitted by <br />All American Asphalt in an amount of $5,006,430, which is above the <br />Engineer's estimate of $4,800,000. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed <br />project is exempt from future review. Categorical Exemption <br />Environmental Review No. 2008-113 will be filed for the project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The funding analysis shows a total estimated construction cost of <br />$5,824,000 for the project (Exhibit 2).
