City of Santa Ana <br />Scope of Work <br />Name of Organization Assistance League of Santa Ana <br />Name of Funded Program Operation School Bell <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />I. Total number of unduplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non-Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by the <br />funded ro ram, named above, during the 12-month contract period. <br />1300 Persons <br />II. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Only the <br />viewable soace will print. <br />Operation School Bell provides clothing, shoes, backpaks, supplies and books to k-5 sutdents in the <br />santa ana unified school district. the merchandise given is comprised of 2 pants, shorts or skorts; 2 <br />white polo shirts, 1 hooded sweatshirt, 5 pairs of underwear, 5 pairs of socks, shoes, a backpack, <br />school supplies, and a book of the child's choice. All merchandise is new and is purchased from two <br />local vendors. LK International in Santa Ana and Cobmex in Long Beach. <br />.When children are dressed properly for school in new clean clothes they can function at a higher level <br />'because they are not concerned with being too cold, too how, underdressed, lacking items or not fitting <br />in with the rest of the student body. Each child can be clothed a toal of four times, with at least six <br />months between visits. Opeation School Bell has been providing clothing to SAUSD students for over <br />30 years. WE are the only provider of this type of service in Santa Ana. <br />Operation School Bell will be open approximately five days a week from late September to Mid <br />December and various weekdays and Saturdays from January through March. We hope to clothe at <br />least 1000 children between September and December so that the children receive their new clothes <br />as soon as possible. <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12- <br />month contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
