Grants, Governor's 15% discretionary Grants, 25% Grants, DOL Welfare-to-Work Grant, <br />DOL Faith-based Initiative Grant, The Santa Ana Federal Empowerment Corporation <br />funded -Housing and Urban Development Grant -FEZ Daisy Wheel Employment and <br />training Program, DOL -Youth Earmark Grant, the Department of Justice -Weed and <br />Seed Program. <br />5. Staff is well versed and current in all workforce legislations. Through members in State and <br />national workforce associations, staff has the ability to access timely workforce intelligence <br />as well as any pending legislative changes and to share the information with network <br />service providers. <br />6. Has a fully developed internal monitoring and performance management system in place. <br />Comprehensive and time-tested policies and procedures manuals are updated regularly. <br />STAFF CAPACITIES: <br />Work Center Coordinator: Has a Master's degree in Educational Administration from <br />Columbia University. Over 26 years of experience overseeing various federally, state and <br />locally funded workforce and economic development programs. Successfully secured and <br />managed over $95 million in workforce funding. Thorough knowledge in performance and cost <br />reimbursement contracting, grants administration, fiscal and program management and program <br />evaluation. The WORK Center Coordinator will provide in-kind contribution to the Service <br />Navigator, the YSPN and the Youth Council. <br />Workforce Specialist III: Has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from UC Irvine, and over 11 <br />years of experience working in the City of Santa Ana with a special focus on serving the youth <br />population. Managed and oversaw Youth Service Provider Network. Extensive experience in <br />managing performance based programs with diverse populations. Developed and fostered <br />collaborative relationships with youth service providers and community based organizations. <br />Served as an active member of the California Workforce Association Annual Youth Conference <br />Planning Committee. <br />14 <br />
