<br /> <br />Orange County 125 25-29 Regional AFH <br /> <br />• The following areas experience low access across multiple indicators: <br />o Southwest Placentia neighborhoods have low access to environmental <br />health, high poverty, low economic scores, and are not located in a high - <br />quality transit area. This part of the city is a high POC segregation area that is <br />predominantly Hispanic. <br />o Stanton residents experience low access to environmentally healthy <br />neighborhoods and high exposure to poverty on the south side of Katella <br />Avenue and on the east side of Beach Boulevard north of Katella Avenue. <br />o In San Juan Capistrano, the neighborhoods surrounding the I-5 and the <br />Ortega Highway (SR-74) interchange experience poor environmental health <br />and have low economic scores. This is a high POC segregation area and is <br />predominantly Hispanic. <br />• Apart from the areas above, the rest of the Urban County jurisdictions experience <br />high environmental quality and have relatively low poverty. In addition, the <br />following areas have access to educational and economic opportunities, as reflected <br />in high education and economic scores on the maps analyzed above: <br />o Brea, Cypress, La Palma, Laguna Beach, Los Alamitos, North Tustin, Orange <br />Park Acres, Villa Park, Yorba Linda, and the unincorporated areas east of Yorba <br />Linda <br />In Aliso Viejo, residents have high access across multiple opportunities, including high <br />education scores, high economic scores, high environmental quality, and low exposure to <br />poverty. However, residents generally do not have good access to transit and <br />neighborhoods with low transportation costs. <br />In Anaheim, Hispanic residents have the least access to low-poverty neighborhoods, <br />neighborhoods close to high performing schools, and neighborhoods with high labor force <br />participation and human capital. Geographically, neighborhoods near the downtown have <br />low environmental health, low education scores, low economic scores; but good access to <br />HQTAs. Conversely, Anaheim Hills, which is a predominantly White area, has the best <br />access to environmentally healthy neighborhoods with low poverty rates, high educat ion <br />scores, and high economic scores. <br />In Buena Park, Hispanic and Black residents have less access than other groups to <br />neighborhoods with low poverty rates and high performing schools. Geographically, the <br />neighborhoods in the center of the city, between I-5 and the Artesia Freeway (SR-91), have <br />poor environmental health, lower educational scores, and lower economic scores. <br />In Costa Mesa, Hispanic residents have the least access to low-poverty neighborhoods, <br />neighborhoods close to high performing schools, and neighborhoods with high labor force <br />participation and human capital. Geographically, neighborhoods downtown and west of <br />downtown are less environmentally healthy and have lower education and economic <br />EXHIBIT 6
