Implement Program 5: Facilitate Affordable and Special <br />Needs Housing Construction, whereby the City will <br />proactively reach out to developers of housing for special <br />needs populations to share details about special needs <br />groups in Lake Forest and promote the development of <br />housing for special needs groups in areas of moderate and <br />high levels of opportunity. <br />9. Implement Program 6: Monitor and Implement Changes in <br />federal and state Housing, Planning, and Zoning Laws to <br />proactively identify changes in federal and/or state <br />regulations required to be implemented at the local level to <br />improve access to opportunity for individuals with <br />disabilities. <br />Between 2021-2029, the City’s <br />goal will be to rezone 158 acres <br />to accommodate the <br />development of up to 2,965 <br />new units with a focus to <br />promote the development of <br />units affordable to lower <br />income households in areas of <br />moderate or high opportunity; <br />increase the number of local <br />individuals with disabilities <br />taking transit by 10% by <br />encouraging the development <br />of new housing for individuals <br />with disabilities to be located <br />close to transit routes; increase <br />the proportion of new <br />multifamily units that are 3 or <br />more bedrooms by 10%; and <br />resolve 100% of reasonable <br />accommodation requests <br />consistent with the <br />requirements of state law. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT 6
