Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Dear Honorable City Councilmembers,
My name is Amanda Struck, and I am a resident of Ward 3, and a concerned citizen.
I am writing to you today as your constituent to express my concern about the kidnapping of my friends,
neighbors, and loved ones by masked and unidentified men in our community - as well as the presence of
military armament and weaponry in our civic center.
To all of our city council members - I ask that you continue to:
Maintain and honor our sanctuary status as a city
2. Encourage and support the SAPD in their stance to NOT participate in immigration enforcement efforts
3. Support our First Amendment Rights to protest
4. Speak out against the militarization of our city's streets and Civic Center
To Mayor Valerie Amezcua, I appreciate that you "don't represent just one group of the community". I am
addressing you directly as a white, home owning citizen, in an affluent part of the community, to say
that when you speak up for the human dignity of our immigrant brothers and sisters (both documented and
without papers), and when you refuse to comply with a tyrannical government, you are not giving your
"Chicano fist pump", you ARE in fact speaking up for me. We are all deeply impacted by what is happening,
even if we are not directly impacted.
Nobody's free, until everybody's free!
Thank you for your time and consideration.
