Ordinance No. NS-XXX <br />Page 32 of 47 <br />(37) Ground Floor/ Footprint: The area resulting from the application of building <br />placement and open space requirements and as further articulated by <br />particular building design. In calculating the area, only the conditioned floor <br />space shall be counted for purposes of calculating allowable upper floor area, <br />the area occupied by zaguans shall be counted as "ground floor/footprint." <br /> <br />(38) Ground Floor Residential: Dwellings with their primary entrance and <br />habitable space at grade. <br /> <br />(39) Health and Fitness: A commercial establishment providing facilities for <br />aerobic exercises, running and jogging, exercise equipment, game courts, <br />swimming facilities, and saunas, showers and lockers. Health and fitness <br />facilities may also provide for instruction programs and classes, such as <br />martial arts, yoga where lockers and showers are provided. <br /> <br />(40) Hotel (land use): A facility offering lodging accommodations, as defined and <br />regulated by the SAMC, to the general public and which may include <br />additional facilities and services, such as restaurants, meeting rooms, <br />entertainment, personal services and recreational facilities. <br /> <br />(41) House: See 'Building Types' <br /> <br />(42) House Scale: Multi-family building form that is derivative of and compatible <br />with surrounding single-family houses and that can be applied in 1 to 4 direct- <br />access assemblies of units to form larger buildings from duplex up to and <br />including Courtyard Housing. <br /> <br />(43) Hybrid Court: See 'Building Types' <br /> <br />(44) Laboratory- medical-analytical: A place equipped for experimentation or <br />observation in a field of study, or devoted to the application of scientific <br />principles in testing and analysis. Quantities of biological or hazardous <br />materials used in situ, shall be limited to those quantities established by the <br />fire department <br /> <br />(45) Lined Block: See 'Building Types' <br /> <br />(46) Live/Work: See 'Building Types' <br /> <br />(47) Lot Width: The frontage of a parcel which is used to identify the parcel for <br />street address purposes. <br /> <br />(48) Media production: An establishment dedicated to the production of visual <br />and audio mass media, including television, films, videos, video games, <br />mobile devices, internet and digital interactive media, but excludes <br />magazines, newspapers, and periodicals. <br /> <br />(49) Mixed-Use Building: A structure lawfully containing residential and non- <br />residential uses. <br />
