Nursing Assistant Training Program <br /> 32 - 35 -Outstanding Pass <br /> 29 - 31 Exceptional Pass <br /> 26 - 28 Satisfactory Pass <br /> 20 -25 Unsatisfactory Tail <br /> Below 20 Needs Improvement Fail <br /> Results of evaluation shall be discussed with the student. Signed evaluation forms shall <br /> be st bmitted to the Program Director for filing. <br /> A sti dent who is at risk of failing a clinical course must be identified as early as <br /> poss ble and be placed on a Mastery Plan. However, the student may still be "failed" <br /> even if they were not placed on a Mastery Plan. The clinical instructor must provide <br /> adeq iate justification for giving a student a final clinical grade of"fail." Such <br /> justi-fication must be attached to the clinical evaluation form. The Program Directo <br /> must be notified. <br /> A student may be placed on a Mastery Plan or dismissed from the program if they E re <br /> deficient of nursing skills, incapable, incompetent, unsafe, and/or a danger to the el ent, <br /> staff other students, and/or the instructor. A student may also be dismissed for <br /> unpr fessional conduct, inappropriate use of verbal and non-verbal communication or <br /> failure to submit clinical projects. <br /> Acade nic Progression <br /> Acac emic progress monitoring is important in ensuring student success. Identification <br /> of students at risk for failure must be done throughout the course. Theory instructors <br /> are mainly responsible for tracking student performance. Students scoring below 80/o <br /> are c nsidered at risk and shall be placed on a Mastery Plan. <br /> Stud nts are expected to complete ALL assignments by the assigned due date set b <br /> the i istructor. Students may be given extension to complete all assignments with th <br /> appr val of the Program Director. Any missed assignments are graded ZERO. Fina <br /> grad is calculated at the end of each course and is submitted to the Program Direc r, <br /> Final grade is NOT rounded off. <br /> In order to progress without condition, a student must obtain a minimum final gradd of <br /> 75% <br /> A student must "pass" the clinical component of the course. A student who "fails," will <br /> be recommended for dismissal from the program. <br /> End-of-Term Remediation <br /> This is a 5-day period where a student must complete all the necessary requirements to <br /> be able to graduate. Attendance/Academic probation may also be given to a student as <br /> condition to advance to the next term.
