Nursing Assistant Training Program <br /> attend ALL theory and clinical instructions, to arrive on time to class or the designated <br /> clinical facility, and to stay throughout the duration of the theory or clinical instruction. <br /> Absences <br /> A st A <br /> stud riay also have 4 days a clinical absences during the duration of the progran. . <br /> Total absence limit is 8 days of theory and clinical. Absences incurred in excess of xhat <br /> is all wed will result in program dismissal. <br /> If a s Ludent who incurs more than the allowed number of absences wish to stay in tt e <br /> grog am, they must provide support documents with appeal letter to Program Direc or <br /> and 1 adership committee for extenuating circumstances exceptions. <br /> The rogram Director and leadership committee shall review the validity of the <br /> exter uating circumstances and how the request may impact attainment of learning <br /> obje tives. The Program Director will then determine whether or not to grant the <br /> request. <br /> Any Students who incurs more than the allowed number of absences granted by prc gram <br /> will e dismissed from the program. <br /> All abs nces, regardless of the cause, must be made up before the student is allowed t <br /> gradual e. A student who has not completed the prescribed hours shall not be allowed 1 o <br /> gradua e. It is the student's responsibility to keep a record of their absences and make-up. <br /> Tardy/Early Out <br /> Tardy and early out are marks of unprofessionalism and are not tolerated. A student s <br /> only e flowed three theory tardies and early out combined per curriculum level. A stu ent <br /> is alsc allowed three clinical tardies and early out combined per curriculum level. A <br /> student exceeding the maximum tardy/early out shall be recommended for dismissal <br /> from he program. <br /> Three theory tardies and early out combined equals one theory absence. Three clinic 11 <br /> tardies and early out combined equals one clinical absence. <br /> "NO C LL,NO SHOW" <br /> A student who is going to be absent, running late, or leaving early must notify their <br /> instru ttor and/or the school. Notification must be made 30 minutes before the.start o the <br /> instru•tion up to 30 minutes before the end of the instruction. The student must not <br /> assurr a that notification has been received by the instructor or the school without <br /> receiving <br /> Failure to notify the instructor and/or the school of the absence, tardy, or early out is <br /> considered "no call, no show," which is a mark of unprofessionalism and is not tolerated. <br /> Below is the disciplinary measures against"no call, no show": <br /> 1, First offense; Issuance of written warning. <br /> 2, Second offense, Recommendation for dismissal and return to class or clinical <br /> Student Handbook 2024 44 <br /> *Policy and Procedures are Subject to Change* <br />
