The student must complete 60 theory hours and 100 <br /> clinical hours of instruction in order to graduate. It is the student's responsibility to l eep a <br /> recorc of their absences and make-up. <br /> Leave of-Absence <br /> Studer is who must take a leave-of-absence greater than 4 days cannot make up the days n the <br /> Nursir g Assistant program. They must restart the program on the next available class that is <br /> starting,. <br /> Theo Make-Up <br /> A student who has theory absences must make-up the missed hours by submitting a <br /> writte i assignment as determined by the theory instructor. The assignment shall be <br /> relevant to the topic missed and must be submitted on a date designated by the instrIL ctor. <br /> The d eory make-up assignment may be in the form of. <br /> 1. Will be made up live, online, and synchronous with a theory instructor during ty ake <br /> p week, <br /> Cliniea 1 Make-Up <br /> The student who has clinical absence is required to make-up at a designated clinical <br /> environment (clinical setting) under the supervision of a clinical instructor. The mak -up <br /> shall gequire application of concepts learned in the classroom to real or simulated cli nts <br /> and meet appropriate clinical objectives. <br /> Clinical make-up assignments may be in the form of: <br /> 1. Will be made up live with a clinical instructor, at a clinical site during make up week. <br /> The stc dent is expected to abide by the policies and procedures of LGL College when <br /> making up hours. Clinical make-up must be approved by the Program Director or <br /> design ted personnel. A clinical makeup without the approval is not considered vatic . <br /> Evaluation Process <br /> The CNA program values input from students and as such there are several means of <br /> programmatic evaluation conducted throughout the academic year. <br /> Students <br /> The CNA program values ongoing evaluation between students and faculty.
