The student must complete 60 theory hours and 100 clinical hours of instruction in order to graduate. It is the student's responsibility to l eep a recorc of their absences and make-up. Leave of-Absence Studer is who must take a leave-of-absence greater than 4 days cannot make up the days n the Nursir g Assistant program. They must restart the program on the next available class that is starting,. Theo Make-Up A student who has theory absences must make-up the missed hours by submitting a writte i assignment as determined by the theory instructor. The assignment shall be relevant to the topic missed and must be submitted on a date designated by the instrIL ctor. The d eory make-up assignment may be in the form of. 1. Will be made up live, online, and synchronous with a theory instructor during ty ake p week, Cliniea 1 Make-Up The student who has clinical absence is required to make-up at a designated clinical environment (clinical setting) under the supervision of a clinical instructor. The mak -up shall gequire application of concepts learned in the classroom to real or simulated cli nts and meet appropriate clinical objectives. Clinical make-up assignments may be in the form of: 1. Will be made up live with a clinical instructor, at a clinical site during make up week. The stc dent is expected to abide by the policies and procedures of LGL College when making up hours. Clinical make-up must be approved by the Program Director or design ted personnel. A clinical makeup without the approval is not considered vatic . Evaluation Process The CNA program values input from students and as such there are several means of programmatic evaluation conducted throughout the academic year.
