George Herlihy, owner of the Hillis House located at 1816 Heliotrope Drive, spoke in <br />support of placement on the Register. <br />Chair Giles closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Kings thanked the property owners for the work they had done to date. <br />She noted that she was supportive of a 6-month extension for the Greenwald House and <br />a one-year extension for the Borchard House. <br />Motion to: <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application <br />Nos. 2003-03, 2003-05 and 2003-06. <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Register Categorization Nos. 2003- <br />03, 2003-05 and 2003-06. <br />3. Continue Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2003-02 and <br />Historic Register Categorization No. 2003-02 for one year. <br />4. Continue Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2003-04 and <br />Historic Register Categorization No. 2003-04 for six months. <br />MOTION: Kings SECOND: Schaefer <br />Commissioner O'Callaghan noted that residents in Floral Park may be surprised about <br />historic designations and asked if neighborhood outreach had been done. Ms. DeRosa <br />advised that an outreach effort was scheduled. <br />Commissioner Richardson noted that a six-month continuance was excessive for the <br />Greenwald House and that the matter be given a 60-day continuance. He also <br />requested that staff assist the owners of the Borchard House with obtaining information <br />concerning insurance. <br />Motion Amended to: <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application <br />Nos. 2003-03, 2003-05 and 2003-06. <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Register Categorization Nos. 2003- <br />03, 2003-05 and 2003-06. <br />3. Continue Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2003-02 and <br />Historic Register Categorization No. 2003-02 for one year. <br />4.
