<br /> <br />Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br />Commission 5 5/22/2025 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Vice Chair Zacarias Torres, asked about the translation of MySantaAna app to <br />Spanish. Superintendent Acevedo responded that is should go live next week. <br /> <br />Chair Herrera recommended a parks tour for the Commission. Executive Director <br />Scott said it would good to do in the fall. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER COMMENTS <br />MINUTES: Commissioner Diaz was very happy with the programming and said Public <br />Works was doing an amazing job. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jogwe echoed Commissioner Diaz’ comments and thanked everyone <br />for what they do. <br /> <br />Commissioner Rodriguez thanked everyone for all the hard work, agreed that Griset <br />Park is beautiful and all the parks are looking wonderful. <br /> <br />Commissioner Woo was happy with all of the events and programming, and hoped that <br />the federal grant funding won’t be affected. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Zacarias Torres thanked the team for adding additional team members to <br />the community garden park program and wished everyone a Happy Harvey Milk day. <br /> <br />Chair Herrera recognized public works week, mentioned that they participated in an OC <br />habitats clean-up day, appreciated the pride flag raising and wished everyone a Happy <br />Pride month. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR COMMENTS <br /> <br />MINUTES: Executive Director Hawk Scott talked about the success of the Brew at the <br />Zoo event, thanked everyone for the love and support of the team and the community <br />that comes out for meetings. He also wished everyone a Happy Memorial Day and will <br />be raising a flag at the memorial park on Monday at 10 am. <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The next meeting of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission is <br />scheduled for Thursday, June 26th at 5:30 pm at the City Hall Council Chambers, 22 <br />Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701. <br /> <br /> MINUTES: Chair Herrera adjourned the Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br />Commission meeting at 6:48 pm. <br /> <br />  <br />  <br />City Council 6 – 51 9/16/2025
