Flores, Dora
From: Kelli Corona <
Sent: Tuesday, October 7, 2025 3:29 PM
To: eComment
Subject: Item 21
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
I strongly oppose the censuring of my councilman Jonathan Hernandez, or any removal of him from
commissions/committees.
This is a disgraceful and nakedly political action because Hernandez dares to represent his constituents and
speak up against the monied interests of the police officers association.
I fully and enthusiastically support councilman Hernandez' public statements condemning police violence and
their corrupting influence in our politics.
I condemn and hold contempt for Valerie, Phil, and David for serving the police union over their working class
constituents simply because the police union funds their political ambitions. I am also concerned with Thai's
influence from this corrupting organization, and hope she will not allow my councilman's voice, and thus his
constituents voices, to be silenced through his censure. Thai would be wise to follow his lead if she wants a
future in politics at all.
I am a lifelong resident of Santa Ana, and will be voting in the upcoming election. The city is watching what
our councilmembers do. I hope they do the right thing and reject censuring councilman Hernandez per item 21.
You will not have my vote if you censure his and my voice.
ME Corona
