City' s intent to minimize the chargeback to paid <br /> time by the employee through effective planning of <br /> training programs . <br /> B . For employees on a 4/10 work schedule, training or <br /> attendance at conventions, conferences, or seminars <br /> for the duration of the day, or the like, held <br /> outside the City limits, in lieu of an employee' s <br /> regularly scheduled 10-hour shift, will count as 10 <br /> hours worked, including travel time . Training held <br /> within the City limits for less than 8 hours or <br /> outside the City will be accounted for on an hour- <br /> to-hour basis, except employees attending training <br /> outside the City limits may be eligible for 2 hours <br /> of travel time . Employees attending training of <br /> less than 8 hours will return to their duty <br /> assignments or, with the approval of their <br /> immediate supervisor, take time off from their time <br /> bank . <br /> 8 . 12 Call-Back-Duty. Any employee covered by this Agreement <br /> who is recalled to active duty from off-duty, shall be <br /> entitled to overtime pay at the rate of one and one-half <br /> (1-1/2) times the normal hourly pay rate for such <br /> employee for time actually worked after reporting to the <br /> place of duty, or to two (2) hours pay at the normal rate <br /> of pay, whichever is greater. <br /> 8 . 13 Accrued Overtime Paid Upon Promotions or Upon Separation. <br /> Upon an employee' s appointment to a position in which <br /> overtime may not be earned or upon an employee' s <br /> separation from employment with the City by resignation, <br /> retirement, layoff or otherwise, he or she shall <br /> forthwith be compensated for any overtime accumulated to <br /> the time immediately preceding such promotion or <br /> separation. <br /> 8 . 14 Court Appearance . Compensation for court appearance by <br /> personnel covered by this Agreement shall be as follows : <br /> A. For each court appearance made by an employee <br /> during his or her off-duty time in regard to city <br /> business three (3) hours overtime will be granted <br /> and paid on a straight time basis . If court <br /> appearances are made both in the morning and <br /> afternoon of a particular day, three (3) hours will <br /> be allowed for each session attended. The employee <br /> must provide a copy of the subpoena requiring his <br /> or her attendance to initiate payroll procedures . <br /> Such employee may elect time off with pay as <br /> compensation for overtime accrued as a result of <br /> court appearances . <br /> 27 <br />
