In January 2023, The Frida Cinema took the reins in producing the DTSA First Saturday <br /> ArtWalk, a role in which we have successfully delivered vibrant, multidisciplinary monthly <br /> events featuring dozens of vendors, musicians, artists, and activations across multiple Downtown <br /> venues and public spaces. With the infrastructure, staffing, and creative partnerships already in <br /> place- and a decade-long track record of producing both intimate arts programming and <br /> large-scale public gatherings - The Frida is uniquely qualified to continue leading ArtWalk with <br /> vision, care, and accountability. <br /> Our team at The Frida Cinema includes a full-time Director of Operations, Director of <br /> Film Programming and Rentals, Director of Volunteerism and Internships, and Director of <br /> Graphic Design and Social Media Marketing, as well as additional staff and over 50 active <br /> volunteers. Our ArtWalk team is comprised of Wendy Youngs, who coordinates our monthly <br /> events and facilitates our participating vendors; Modesto Briseno and Gaby Toro of Stanford <br /> Sound and Stage, who curate our live music talent and run our sound stages; and Robert <br /> Gutierrez, who manages our @dtsantaana social media account.
