Award an agreement to Musco Sports Lighting, LLC to provide LED sports <br /> lighting at Centennial Park, in the base bid amount of $1,189,448 and an amount <br /> of$118,945 for unanticipated or unforeseen work, for a total estimated project <br /> delivery cost of$1,308,393, beginning October 21, 2025 and expiring December <br /> 31, 2026, with the option for one, one-year extension (Agreement No. A-2025- <br /> XXX). <br /> 2. Determine that, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act, the <br /> recommended actions are exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption <br /> Environmental Review No. ER 2025-97 will be filled for Project No. 26-6007. <br /> GOVERNMENT CODE §84308 APPLIES: No <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The Public Works Agency, Parks, Fleet, Facilities, and Refuse Services Division (PWA) <br /> oversees the maintenance and improvements for all City parks. Centennial Park operates <br /> as a multifunctional open space for local sports and citywide events. The ninety-acre park <br /> includes various amenities, such as the Dan Young Soccer Complex, skate park, <br /> playground, and lake, providing leisure, recreation, and entertainment opportunities for <br /> residents and visitors. <br /> In collaboration with Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency (PRCSA) staff, <br /> PWA staff evaluated the lighting needs in the park, identifying a need for the addition of <br /> new sports lighting at fields 5 and 6. The scope of these improvements is substantial, <br /> requiring the installation of new electrical infrastructure and the procurement of advanced <br /> lighting systems. Funding for these two high priority locations at Centennial Park was <br /> added as a City Council initiative during the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget process. New <br /> lighting will extend safe play hours into the evening for youth sports, adult leagues, and <br /> community programs. Staff recommends installing state-of-the-art, energy-efficient LED <br />
