Additionally, the one and a half story structure is eligible to be categorized as Landmark for its unique architectural significance as illustrated by its side gabled roof with shaped rafter tails and braces exposed at the eaves; a double dormer trimmed with decorative bargeboard; broad tripartite wi0ows; and a recessed porch defined by an arched beam supporte(41by paneled and tapered posts. Key Category Based on the results of research, the structures listed below meet the criteria to be placed in the Key category as contained in Section 30--2.2 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. The code criteria for Key designation are as follows: a. The building, landmark or district has a distinctive architectural style and quality; or b. The buildi g, landmark or district is characteristic of a significant period in the history of the City of Santa Ana; or C. The building, landmark or district is associated with a significant person or event in the City of Santa Ana. The properties included in this request are as follows: • 1905 North Valencia Street, F.B. Elliot House. The F.B. Elliot House, built pirca 1912, qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties as a representative example of Bung low/ Craftman style architecture. The structure is eligible to be placed within the Key category for its distinctive architectural I style and quality as illustrated by its side gabled roof with rafters exposed at the eaves; sheathing in shingle courses of alternating heights; a recessed porch spanning most of the facade, featuring a brick wall and pedestals; massive brick piers marking the end of the porch; and a series of casement windows featured in the front facade.
