SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 4 <br /> Plan RS-4. Sign panels on traffic signal mast arms shall be installed per <br /> Caltrans Standard Plan ES-7N, Detail U. Signs mounted on streetlight poles <br /> (electroliers) shall be mounted so as not to cover electrolier identification <br /> tags. <br /> Posts shall be installed in driven post anchors per the manufacturer's <br /> specifications. <br /> New signs shall be installed on 10-foot posts, except a longer post shall be <br /> used if necessary to maintain a 7-foot vertical clearance from the bottom of <br /> the lowest sign to the top of the surrounding surface in pedestrian areas. <br /> Sign posts shall be installed a minimum of 6 feet from power poles, fire <br /> hydrants, and other obstructions. Sign posts shall be installed per City of <br /> Santa Ana Standard Plan No 1504. <br /> All posts driven sign post anchors shall be completely removed and the sign <br /> post anchor assembly hole backfilled with clean fill dirt to match the existing <br /> surrounding grade (non paved areas only). Driven sign post anchors in <br /> sidewalk or pavement areas shall be completely removed and backfilled <br /> with grout to the level of the surrounding grade. <br /> Sign posts with foundations in parkway area shall be completely removed <br /> and backfilled with clean fill dirt to match the grade of the surrounding area. <br /> This requirement can be modified at the discretion of the City. Removal of <br /> sign posts located within sidewalk or other paved areas, shall core drill the <br /> sidewalk and remove the sign post to below bottom of sidewalk or paving <br /> then backfilled with concrete or paving material to match the existing. <br /> All signs to be salvaged, as called for on the plans, shall be delivered to the <br /> City Corporate Yard at 220 S. Daisy Ave. The Contractor shall coordinate <br /> delivery of such signs with City of Santa Ana Public Works Maintenance <br /> Services Staff (714-647-3371). The Contractor shall notify the City a <br /> minimum of 2 full working days in advance of proposed delivery of salvaged <br /> signs. The Contractor shall take precautions to prevent additional damage <br /> to the salvaged signs during removal, storage and delivery process. <br /> 2.9 SLURRY SEAL <br /> When called for on the plan after grinding or sandblasting of existing stripes or <br /> legends, the Contractor shall slurry the area prior to application of the new stripe or <br /> legend.. <br /> The slurry shall be EMULSION SAND SLURRY <br /> The application of slurry shall be scheduled to commence after 9:00 a.m., and no <br /> slurry operations shall be done after 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise approved by the <br /> Project Manager or Designee. <br /> City of Santa Ana Page 17 of 71 <br />
