B. Any contribution necessary to maintain benefits under City-sponsored medical <br /> plans in excess of the amount set forth above shall be borne entirely by the <br /> employee. <br /> C. The parties recognize that certain State and Federal laws,programs and regulations, <br /> including the Affordable Care Act, may impact future medical plan offerings. In <br /> the event that reform measures enacted during the term of this MOU alter healthcare <br /> options, cost or other elements of healthcare services, thereby materially altering <br /> the provisions of this MOU, the parties agree that upon the request of either party <br /> the parties shall re-open Section 12.1 hereof regarding medical insurance for the <br /> purpose of discussing alternative approaches and proposals to providing healthcare <br /> benefits hereunder. In addition, should State or Federal laws concerning the <br /> taxation of healthcare benefits change, the parties agree to meet and discuss the <br /> impact of such change. <br /> 12.2 Dental Insurance. <br /> A. The City agrees to contribute towards the premiums for dental insurance plans <br /> provided by the City for employees covered by this MOU and their eligible <br /> dependents on the following basis: <br /> 1. The City shall contribute an allowance towards the employee's Cafeteria <br /> Benefit plan for dental insurance premiums for eligible employees and their <br /> qualified dependents in the amount of one hundred thirty dollars ($130)per <br /> month per employee. <br /> B. Any contribution necessary to maintain benefits under said dental plans in excess <br /> of the amount of the City contribution to the cafeteria plan specified above shall be <br /> borne entirely by the employee. <br /> 12.3 Vision. Plan. The City shall maintain in effect its existing vision plan, for employees and <br /> their eligible dependents. <br /> A. Effective January 1, 2026 The City shall contribute a maximum amount of fifteen <br /> dollars and seventy-five cents ($15.75) per month for each employee toward the <br /> payment of premiums for vision insurance plans provided by the City for <br /> employees and their eligible dependents. <br /> Any contribution necessary to maintain benefits under said vision plans in excess <br /> of the amounts set forth above shall be borne entirely by the employee. <br /> 12.4 Long-Term Disability(L.T.D.) Insurance.
