The home has had a door change-out and there has been a security
gate added to the driveway. The awnings over the porch are brick, an alteration, but are in line
with the style of the design of the home. The home may have had a re-application of stucco
within the last 30 years.

20. 336 W 19th APN: 002-152-10 Contributive 1920
Architect / Builder: Roy Russell Original Owner: Roy Russell
This one-story bungalow in the Craftsman style has recently been restored. The roof is front -
cross gabled with a small porch of pored smooth concrete, with eaves supported by columns of
wood and masonry. Sash windows are correct to the era and style of the home, and the clapboard
cladding over the exterior of the home is correct. The chimney still retains its original stucco or
may have successfully had a re-application of stucco in the period-correct way.

21. 340 W 19th APN: 002-152-11 Contributive 1939
Architect / Builder /Original Owner: M. Sash windows are correct to the era and style of the home and the clapboard
cladding over the exterior of the home is correct. The chimney has been remade and clad in stone
tiles. This is the only feature that does not conform to the historical integrity of the property from
any viewing corridor.

22. 402 W 19th APN: 002-102-01 Non-Contributive 1936
Architect / Builder / Original Owner: Louis Braasch
This home, in the Minimal Traditional style has had very few changes performed to its
North-facing exterior. However, this home has been combined with another home at 1814 N.
Jefferson as a contiguous building under one roof. The home now also displays an attached
garage. There are existing design features that are historical but the modifications to the home
impact its historical integrity.

23. 408 W 19th APN: 002-102-02 Contributive 1922
Architect / Builder / Original Owner: Roy S. King
This is a two-story home in the Tudor style and is of frame and stucco construction. The
home retains its original windows and stucco and has been correctly re-roofed with shingles. A
small wrought iron gate has been added to the driveway; this may be a historically correct
feature. The roofline is side gabled with a wing to the west side of the home, exhibiting a very

Historic Resources Commission 262 9/23/2025
