With that in mind, all of
these changes have been in compliance with maintaining the overall design and historical
integrity of the home. The only exception would be the large wrought iron gate in the driveway.
The roof is tiled, and the exterior of the home is stucco. The original detached garage sits at the
rear of the property.

25. 415 W 19th APN: 002-101-18 Contributive 1929
Architect / Builder: Honer Bros. Original Owner: William McKinley Cory
This is a one-story Tudor bungalow with a hipped roofline. This home retains its original
detached garage, stucco and windows and has a security door added. There is a small courtyard
surrounded by a low stucco and masonry wall at the front of the home. This home is on the local
historic register.

26. 419 W 19th APN: 002-101-19 Contributive 1922
Architect / Builder / Original Owner: Howard. N. Brothers
This Colonial Revival Bungalow residence is side gabled with carved braces exposed in the
overhanging eaves. Centered in the gable face, a vent repeats the arched shape of the gable. Its
entry consists of an 18-light door flanked by a full-height, 12-light sidelights. Original builder,
physician Howard N. Brothers, intended to use the property as an investment when he first
applied for a building permit. The cost for this bungalow and garage was $4,200 in December of
1922.

27. 501 W 19th APN: 002-103-19 Contributive 1923
Architect / Builder: Unknown Original Owner: Laura L. Murray
This single-family residence includes a flat roof with clay tile along the parapet. The façade
is asymmetrical with a garden wall creating a courtyard front yard space. A prominent feature of
the home is the front elevation with the prominent rampart roofline over the porch. This is a
distinctive feature that thankfully has been retained. The structure overall is very much
representative of the Spanish Colonial / Mission style.

28. 511 W 19th APN: 002-103-20 Contributive 1939
Architect / Builder: Arthur Morris Original Owner: Thos.
