Upon approval of said culvert plans and specifications <br /> 6 by sale Engineer, and when plans and specifications for that portion <br /> 7 of Project D-3 between Gisler and Delhi Road have been approved by <br /> 8 City in accordance with the applicable provision of the Orange County <br /> g Flood Control Act, District shall promptly undertake and perform all <br /> 10 of the wore of advertisie , for bids and awarding a contract, all <br /> 11 in accordance with the provisions of law governing the mile. <br /> 12 3. Levrin construction of said culvert District shall furnish <br /> 13 a resident engineer to geriZOIn the usual functions of a resident <br /> 14 engineer. Durinr, said construction City may also furnish a resident <br /> 15 engineer, and in such case the two resident engineers will cooperate <br /> 16 and consult with each other, but the orders of the District' s resident <br /> 17 engineer shall be final. <br /> 18 4 . As hereinafter provided, City shall pay to District, Citl, ' s <br /> 19 percentage of the cost of said culvert; said percentage of cost Shall <br /> 20 be computed on the following basis: <br /> 21 (a) The actual contract unit costs shall be used to deter- <br /> 22 Irdne the total cost for said culvert, said unit costs <br /> 23 shall be the cost of structural excavation, compacted <br /> 24 backfill, reinforced concrete, reinforcing steel, and <br /> 25 crushed roe:- for subflrade preparation. <br /> 26 ( ) The total cost of said culvert shall be divided eL: <br /> 27 the length to arrive at a per foot cost for said <br /> 28 eulvert. The per foot cost shall then be multiplied <br /> 29 by 64. <br /> 30 (c) City's percentage shall be the above mentioned product <br /> 31 plus 5% of said product to cover Distriet's cost of <br /> 32 design, inspection, field en,-,sineerin ;, and final <br /> -e- <br /> 41 <br /> 1 <br />
