SAMPLE RESOLUTION <br /> Resolution No. [XXXX] <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE SANTA ANA CITY COUNCIL RECOGNIZING AND <br /> SUPPORTING THE SANTA ANA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT GRADUATE <br /> PROFILE <br /> WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) has collaborated <br /> extensively with business leaders, parents, students, educators, school administrators, <br /> Board of Education representatives, school support staff, and other community partners <br /> to develop the Graduate Profile; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Graduate Profile is designed with the mission of preparing every <br /> student within the SAUSD for the jobs of the future by equipping them with essential <br /> real-world skills necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Graduate Profile focuses on six key attributes that are critical for <br /> student success in the 21 st century, namely: <br /> Architect of Learning: Promoting lifelong learning with a spirit of inquiry and a growth <br /> mindset to adapt to evolving job requirements; <br /> Collaborative Leader: Preparing students to work effectively with others and lead <br /> ethically in diverse and dynamic environments; <br /> Global Innovator: Encouraging critical and creative thinking to solve complex problems <br /> while being culturally aware in a global job market; <br /> Empathetic Communicator: Ensuring students develop effective communication skills to <br /> engage with various audiences and use different communication tools; <br /> Community Builder: Fostering hands-on experience in community service, internships, <br /> and civic engagement to build a sense of responsibility and civic-mindedness; <br /> World-Ready Scholar: Guaranteeing mastery in literacy, numeracy, and reasoning to <br /> tackle academic and professional challenges in the 21st century; and <br /> WHEREAS, the SAUSD Learning Model is designed to achieve the outcomes of the <br /> Graduate Profile by emphasizing a personalized, authentic, competency-based, and <br /> inclusive approach to education; and <br />
