Years in <br />the making and completed following <br />pandemic-related delays, this signature <br />capital improvement project reflects the <br /> long-term commitment to animal <br />welfare, conservation education, and <br />»Above: <br />elevating visitor experience. <br />Entrance. <br />The project includes significant infrastructure upgrades, elevated primate pathways that <br />promote natural movement and enrichment, and thoughtfully designed indooroutdoor <br />habitats supported by a state-of-the-art water filtration system to ensure optimal water <br />quality and animal health. These enhancements not only provide animals with <br />environments that better support their physical and behavioral needs, but also strengthen <br /> <br />immersive guest experiences such as underwater otter viewing, dynamic interpretive <br />graphics, and educational storytelling connecting <br />visitors to local and global conservation efforts. <br />The exhibit creates meaningful opportunities for <br />learning, empathy-building, and stewardship, in <br />an ethical, environmentally-responsible, and <br />intimate setting. <br />achievement of Association of Zoos and <br />Aquariums (AZA) accreditation in 2025.
