By achieving these objectives, youth participants will secure stable employment, increase their <br /> earning potential, and create pathways for career advancement, leading to greater financial <br /> security and improved well-being.At the same time, the City of Santa Ana will benefit from a <br /> stronger workforce, reduced unemployment rates, and increased economic growth. <br /> Target Population <br /> Total Number of Youth to Be Served: Hope Builders will serve 20 youth through this project. <br /> Age Range of Youth to Be Served: Hope Builders will serve youth between the ages of 18-24. <br /> Minimum Requirements to Be Enrolled: Participants must be Out-of-School youth ages 18-24 <br /> and a resident of the City of Santa Ana (except for foster youth, emancipated youth, and wards <br /> of the court). Participants must demonstrate stable housing and pass a drug test prior to <br /> enrollment. Eligible youth include school dropouts, those with a secondary diploma or <br /> equivalent who are basic skills deficient or English language learners,youth in the juvenile or <br /> adult justice system (for CTP only), parenting youth, and individuals with disabilities. <br /> Participants must demonstrate motivation and readiness (which includes obtaining a driver's <br /> license and right-to-work documents). Youth who have already obtained a postsecondary <br /> degree will be ineligible to enroll. <br /> Hope Builders encourages pregnant individuals to apply once they are ready to fully participate <br /> in training and employment. This ensures they can complete the program successfully and <br /> secure stable, long-term careers with the support and resources available. <br /> Serving Foster Youth, Homeless Youth, &Youth on Probation: Hope Builders' programs are <br /> open to foster and emancipated youth, as well as wards of the court. Hope Builders does not <br /> enroll homeless youth; applicants must demonstrate stable housing before enrollment to avoid <br /> the challenges associated with homelessness, such as inconsistent attendance or difficulties <br /> focusing on training. Hope Builders also serves youth offenders through CTP, but participants <br /> cannot have an open court case at the time of their enrollment. Additionally, parolees must <br /> coordinate with their Parole Officer to ensure they can meet program requirements. Due to <br /> employer partner restrictions, youth offenders are not eligible to enroll in the CMA or CDC <br /> programs. <br /> How Targeted Youth Populations Will Be Recruited: Hope Builders will recruit targeted <br /> populations through a variety of efforts. Outreach Specialists will actively market the program <br /> at local churches, community centers, and other youth-serving nonprofits. A significant portion <br /> of students (about 6S%) will be referred by current or former participants. Additional referrals <br /> will come from community partners such as Learn4Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Centennial <br /> Education Center, La Familia, Youth Provider Network, and others. Hope Builders' Outreach <br /> team will also hold regular office hours at partner locations like Project Kinship, Orangewood, <br /> and certain ACCESS schools, where they will meet with prospective applicants to discuss the <br />
