Program Objectives: Hope Builders aims to equip youth with the skills, resources, and support <br /> needed to achieve long-term career success. The program's primary objectives align with key <br /> WIOA performance goals: <br /> 1. Measurable Skills Gains—CMA Trainees earn a Vocational Medical Certificate of <br /> Completion (non-credit) from Santiago Canyon College, American Heart Association BLS <br /> Certification, HIPAA and PPE Training Certificates, OSHA Certifications in Bloodborne <br /> Pathogens, Hazard Communication, Workplace Violence Prevention, and Hope Builders' <br /> Certificate of Completion. <br /> CDC Trainees earn a 40-Hour Behavior Technician Training Certificate, American Heart <br /> Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid & CPR Certification, California Mandated <br /> Reporter Certificate, and Hope Builders' Certificate of Completion. <br /> CTP Trainees earn MC3 Certification, Career Technical Education Certification through <br /> Santa Ana College, OSHA 10-Hour Certification, American Heart Association First Aid & <br /> CPR Certification, and Hope Builders' Certificate of Completion. <br /> Additionally, program staff will support trainees in furthering their education through <br /> employer-sponsored training programs, such as Associated Builders and Contractors, <br /> Associated General Contractors, or certificate and degree programs at local community <br /> colleges. At least 59%of youth will attain a recognized post-secondary credential <br /> through training AND achieve measurable skills gains. <br /> 2. Credential Attainment—All program participants will receive at least 12 hours of <br /> Education Pathways curriculum, designed to strengthen study skills, introduce career <br /> ladders and post-secondary pathways, and provide guidance on accessing financial aid <br /> and scholarships. At least 62% of youth will attain a Credential/Diploma/Certificate <br /> within 1 year after exit. <br /> 3. Employment or Placement Rate for Youth —Hope Builders will provide job preparation <br /> workshops,job fair participation, resume support, referrals, and job coaching to connect <br /> youth to employment opportunities. Additionally, trainees who complete Hope Builders' <br /> skills training academies will be linked to educational and training pipeline programs at <br /> local community colleges, career technical schools, and apprenticeship programs.Youth <br /> identified as needing basic literacy and numeracy remediation will receive at least 25 <br /> hours of tutoring and other services alongside their vocational training. At least 69%of <br /> youth will secure employment or enroll in postsecondary education by the second <br /> quarter after exit, with fit% by the fourth quarter. <br /> 4. Median Earnings—Youth will attain employment at an average 3-month salary of$4,000 <br /> no later than the second quarter after exit. <br />
