By connecting youth <br /> with these educational resources, Hope Builders supports their academic advancement and <br /> prepares them for workforce training and career opportunities. <br /> Activities That Will Support Secondary School Diploma: Hope Builders supports youth in <br /> attaining their secondary school diplomas through a combination of academic assistance, <br /> mentorship, and holistic support services.Tutoring is available both before enrollment and <br /> during training to help applicants strengthen their academic skills. Personalized support and <br /> mentorship provide guidance from staff and mentors to keep students motivated and on track. <br /> Additionally, case management and counseling offer one-on-one support to help students <br /> overcome academic and personal challenges, while goal-setting and career coaching assist <br /> them in planning their educational and career pathways.To further support students, Hope <br /> Builders provides social and emotional resources, including mental health services such as <br /> counseling and stress management. <br /> Through these activities, Hope Builders ensures that youth have the necessary resources and <br /> support to complete their secondary education and successfully transition into career training <br /> and employment. <br /> Preparation for Postsecondary Education and Training <br /> Preparation for Postsecondary Education &Training: Hope Builders equips youth with the skills, <br /> knowledge, and support needed to succeed in postsecondary education and training for high- <br /> demand industries such as healthcare and construction. Medical assisting remains one of the <br /> top ten in-demand allied health professions in California, with more than 12,000 positions left <br /> unfilled each year, according to California Competes. Additionally, California's Employment <br /> Development Department projects over 15,000 openings for paraprofessionals through 2028. <br /> Through CDC, CMA, and CTP, Hope Builders trains youth for middle-skill positions that ensure <br /> long-term employability, economic mobility, and career advancement.These positions are in <br /> industries offering livable wages, with entry-level jobs in healthcare and construction typically <br /> paying at least $18.50 per hour (adjusted annually) or offering full-time employment with a <br /> minimum of 30 hours per week.
