Desigio Construction, Inc., the lowest responsible bidder, in accordance <br />with unit bid prices for the base bid in the estimated amount of $1,598,092 for construction of <br />Riverview Neighborhood Water Main Improvements. <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost of $1,997,500. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This project provides for replacement of deteriorated and undersized water mains in the Riverview <br />Neighborhood (Exhibit 1). The improvements include installation of new water mains, fire hydrants, <br />main gate valves, and water services. Once completed, breaks and leaks associated with the <br />older and deteriorated water mains will be eliminated, and water service capacity and fire <br />protection will be enhanced. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on July 7 and 9, 2010, and bids were opened on July 28, <br />2010.
