I 2010, the base salary of employees eeYered by this Agreemem, <br />she" be -nereased by eight (8) salary rete ranges (approximeftly 4%). 2011, the base salary of emipleyees eeYered by Als <br />I <br />Agreement she!! be inereesed by five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5%). <br />Effective July 1, 2010, the base salary of employees covered by this Agreement <br />shall be increased by zero (0) salary rate ranges. <br />Effective January 1, 2011, the base salary of employees covered by this <br />Agreement shall be increased by zero (0) salary rate ranges. <br />Effective July 1, 2011, the base salary of employees covered by this Agreement <br />shall be increased by six (6) salary rate ranges (approximately 39'0). <br />Effective July 1, 2012, the base salary of employees covered by this Agreement <br />shall be increased by seven (7) salary rate ranges (approximately 3.59'0). <br />AMENDED ARTICLE VIII (new language in bold; deleted provisions lined out) <br />8.0 OVERTIME <br />8.4 Compensation for Overtime <br />A. The preferable method by which overtime shall be compensated is by monetary <br />payment, at one and one-half (1112) times the employee's regular rate of pay. <br />B. Should the Police Chief determine that the best interests of the City will be served <br />thereby, he or his designee may permit an employee to be compensated for overtime <br />work by earning paid compensatory time off at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) <br />times the employee's regular rate of pay. The employee will be credited with time <br />off at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) hours of time for each hour of overtime <br />worked. This time, hereinafter identified as "comp time" will be accrued in a comp <br />time bank for each employee. The hours in this bank shall reflect the converted time <br />value of each hour worked. <br />1. Effective January 1, 2096 2010, employees are limited to the accumulation of <br />420 160 hours of comp time. Effective July 1, 2010, employees are limited <br />to the accumulation of 200 hours of comp time. <br />POA CONTRACT EXTENSION 2010-13 Page 2
