Administered 30 materials <br />contracts and 28 subcontracts, from signing to release of retention. Worked with corporate lawyer to <br />ensure the company's liability was limited in all contracts. Negotiated and administered contracts from <br />$20,000 to $60 million. <br />ILA Shelter Project, Phoenix, AZ <br />Purchasing engineer, responsible for up to $1 million worth of materials, utilizing 50+ vendors for In-line <br />Amplification (ILA) shelters to be built for Level (3) Communications, Inc. Compiled a comprehensive job <br />report on how to set up a yard and build an ILA shelter. <br />Level (3) Communications, Inc, San Jose, CA <br />Bore operations superintendent. Supervised the installation of fiber optic lines from San Jose to Oakland. <br />The project consisted of 80+ bores with 6 bore machines and a 25 member crew. Ensured that contractual <br />obligations to Level (3), other utilities, and to Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) were maintained. Presented <br />progress reports to management at satellite office. Scheduled UPRR flagmen, environmentalist, <br />archeologist, Native American representatives, and training for personnel. Met with utility representatives <br />to present our method of fiber installation. <br />KPFF Consulting Engineers, Santa Monica, CA <br />Design/project engineer, functioning as a project manager on building a mezzanine at the J. Paul Getty <br />Museum and an emergency room canopy for Kaiser Permanente Hospital. Design engineer on various <br />projects, including: Port of Long Beach, Culver City Transit, Lemoore Hospital, and United Airlines Terminal <br />7 at LA Airport.
