Park Landscape Maintenance Agreements <br />June 4, 2012 <br />Page 3 <br />The City proposes to enter into a one -year agreement with Vista Del Verde for the maintenance of <br />District 3. District 3 is located in the southeast quadrant of the City and includes 10 properties, <br />including Delhi, Madison and Memorial parks. The annual base contract cost is $508,164. An <br />additional 10% contingency is included for unanticipated work, resulting in a total annual contract <br />amount of $558,980. Vista Del Verde has been performing well on the bike trails and the Santa <br />Ana Zoo for many years. <br />Marina Landscape was not interested in renewing their agreement for the maintenance of District <br />4. Staff is proposing a one -year agreement amendment with Midori Gardens while an RFP is <br />developed and issued. District 4 is located in the southwest quadrant of the City and includes 16 <br />properties, including Centennial, Jerome, Santa Anita and Thornton parks. Midori currently <br />maintains PRCSA District A, which includes the Civic Center and the Stadium. Midori also <br />maintains street medians and the Regional Transportation Center under separate agreement with <br />the Public Works Agency. The annual base contract cost is $931,608. An additional 14% <br />contingency is included for unanticipated work, resulting in a total annual contract amount of <br />$1,062,544. Midori Gardens is a Santa Ana based business and has been performing well for <br />PRCSA and Public Works for many years. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds for these agreements will be included in the FY 2012 -13 and FY 2013 -14 Park Services <br />M &R Buildings and Grounds account (no. 01113250 62320), Civic Center M &R Buildings and <br />Grounds account (no. 07413250 62320), Community Development Maintenance Contract <br />Services account (no. 40718842 62300), and OES Gang Prevention Contract Services account <br />(no. 15514412 62300). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNT: <br />Gerardo Moue, Francisco Gutierrez, <br />Executive Director ,' Executive Director r' <br />Parks, Rec. and Ck m.
