A-2011-274 <br />ELEVENTH SIDE LETTER AMENDMENT TO THE <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND <br />THE SANTA ANA POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION <br />FOR FISCAL YEARS 2011-13 <br />The following provisions of the parties' MOLD are amended as set forth below: <br />Article IV, Section 4.3 <br />4.0 SALARIES <br />4.3 Salary Adjustments. <br />A. Effective July 1, 2011, the base salary of employees covered by this <br />Agreement shall be increased by six (6) salary rate ranges (approximately 3%). <br />Effective December 1, 2011, employees shall contribute 2% (of the 3% salary <br />increase received on July 1, 2011) of their salary increase to pay for employer <br />portion of the City's PERS contribution as more fully addressed below in <br />Section 13.5. This contribution shall be paid in accordance with Government <br />Code section 20516(f). <br />Effective July 1, 2012, the base salary of employees covered by this <br />Agreement shall be increased by seven (7) salary rate ranges (approximately <br />3.5%). Effective on July 1, 2012, employees covered by this Agreement shall <br />contribute the increase received on that date to pay for employer portion of <br />the City's PERS contribution as more fully addressed below in Section 13.5. <br />This contribution shall be paid in accordance with Government Code section <br />20516(f). <br />City agrees that if, upon completion of negotiations for a successor MOU with <br />the FBA and all other safety units/employees, the City has not agreed to (or <br />imposed) an employee retirement contribution (either as cost sharing or <br />employer paid member contribution) at the some or greater percentage as to <br />that paid by safety employees who are covered by this Agreement, the City will <br />return the 3.5% salary increase (retroactive to July 1, 2012) to employees <br />covered by this Agreement. <br />E. Effective July 1, 1998, employees will contribute one-half percent (.5%) <br />of their base salary plus pay additives through payroll deduction to a fund <br />maintained by the Santa Ana Police Officers Association for the purpose <br />of providing retiree health insurance premium reduction assistance.
