City of Santa Ana <br />1. If any employee becomes ineligible to provide services under the Contract Documents, <br />Contractor must immediately notify the OCFA EMS Section Battalion Chief in writing of <br />such ineligibility and the reason(s) therefore; <br />J. Contractors must ensure that all of its employees and ambulances are, at all times during the <br />term of the contract, in full compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, statutes, <br />and regulations, including but not limited to: the California Vehicle Code; the California <br />Health & Safety Code; Orange County Ambulance Ordinance; applicable City of Santa Ana <br />ambulance ordinances; and any and all OCEMS or State EMS Authority policies, standards, <br />procedures, regulations, and/or protocols. All Contractor employees must have in their <br />possession, at all times while on duty, applicable licenses, certifications, and/or permits, as <br />may be required by the agencies and authorities listed above; <br />K. Contractor's emergency response personnel must carry and furnish to OCFA personnel upon <br />request any required licenses, certifications, and/or permits, including proper identification, <br />for purposes of verifying validity, ensuring compliance with licensing, certification, and <br />permitting requirements, and for the proper reporting of employee performance-related issues <br />to Contractor; <br />L. The OCFA EMS Section Battalion Chief may request Contractor to participate in emergency <br />response joint training exercises to improve the capability and coordination of both OCFA <br />and Contractor's response to a given emergency or disaster. Such training will be scheduled <br />and mutually coordinated by the OCFA EMS Section Battalion Chief and the Contractor. <br />Such training shall not exceed twenty (20) hours per year/per shift and not billable to the City <br />of Santa Ana; <br />M. Any additional training that may be deemed necessary by OCFA shall be attended by <br />Contractor's personnel upon reasonable notice and at the sole cost and expense of Contractor. <br />Such additional training may include, but is not limited to, mass casualty, weapons of mass <br />destruction, and/or other emergency response training; <br />N. Contractors must make available to the OCFA EMS Battalion Chief upon request any and all <br />Contractor personnel training records for those employees who perform services pursuant to <br />the Contract Documents; <br />Phase 2 RFP: Emergency Ambulance Transportation and Related Services Page 1 49 <br />June 14, 2012 <br />25F-68
