The prescribed distance between a regulated use, conditionally permitted <br />use, or any other use specifying a separation requirement, and the sensitive use(s) near <br />which it is located. For purposes of variances or minor exceptions as addressed in Sec. <br />41 -632, a separation requirement will not be considered a development standard and will <br />not be subject to waiver or modification. <br />Section 25. Section 41 -132 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby deleted in <br />its entirety: <br />.... <br />Section 26. Section 41 -191 of Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is <br />amended to read in full as follows: <br />Sec. 41 -191. Regulated uses. <br />(a) Purpose. It is recognized that there are some uses which, because of <br />their very nature, are considered as having serious objectionable operational <br />characteristics, particularly when several of them are concentrated under certain <br />circumstances, by having a deleterious effect upon the adjacent areas. Special regulation <br />of these uses is necessary to insure that these adverse effects will not contribute to the <br />blighting or downgrading of the surrounding neighborhood by a concentration of these uses <br />in any one (1) area. <br />(b) Uses subject to regulation: <br />(1) Adult bookstore as defined in section 41 -12.1. <br />(2) Adult entertainment businesses as defined in section 41 -12.2. <br />(3) Adult theaters as defined in section 41 -12.4. <br />19 <br />75A -39 <br />
