Inmates needing further treatment will be referred to the mental health <br />staff for evaluation and treatment. If the inmate is currently receiving, or <br />has received treatment from an outside agency, the agency will be <br />contacted and the necessary mental health information will be requested. <br />Inmates identified as suicidal will immediately be evaluated and treated, <br />as needed (please see section below entitled Emergency crisis, <br />intervention and suicide prevention services). <br />Routine/non-emergent services: <br />Inmates -can make a routine request for non-emergency mental health <br />services by use of the sick call request process . Detention <br />Officers can also refer inmates for evaluation and assistance. Routine <br />requests will be triaged and scheduled for the next available mental health <br />clinic. <br />Mental health clinics will be held twice a month for a minimum of four (4) <br />hours per clinic (depending on the number of inmates scheduled for each <br />clinic). <br />Emergency, crisis intervention and suicide prevention services: <br />Requests for emergency mental health set-vices can be made by Detention <br />Officers and/or inmates 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week. A member <br />of the medical staff will immediately respond to all emergency requests. <br />CMCMC contracts with College Hospital Costa Mesa (CHCM) for the <br />provision of crisis intervention and mental health support services.
