However, through the <br />City's development review process, future redevelopment <br />activities implemented within the Merged Project Area would <br />be evaluated for potential liquefaction impacts. Where <br />needed, mitigation measures, such as preparation of <br />geotechnical studies and compliance with Seismic Safety <br />Standards of the Uniform Building code would be required to <br />avoid or minimize potential liquefaction impacts. <br />(B) Less Than Significant Impact <br />Approval of the proposed Merger would not result in or <br />directly increase the potential for soil erosion or <br />sedimentation impacts in that the project would not involve <br />any construction activities. Though, future redevelopment <br />activities implemented within the Merged Project Area could <br />involve earthwork activity that could result in potential <br />erosion and sedimentation impacts to onsite and offsite <br />drainage facilities. However, through the City's <br />development review process, future redevelopment activities <br />implemented within the Merged Project Area would be <br />evaluated for potential soil erosion and sedimentation <br />-- impacts. Where needed, mitigation measures, such as <br />preparation of erosion control plans and the incorporation <br />of best management practices would be required to avoid or <br />minimize potential soil erosion and sedimentation impacts. <br />(C) No Impact <br />According to the City's General Plan Land Use Element EIR, <br />there are no unique geologic features within the proposed <br />Merged Project Area. Therefore, approval and implementation <br />of the proposed Merger would not result in the loss of any <br />unique geologic features. <br />(D-E) Less Than Significant Impact <br />According to the General Plan Land Use Element EIR, the <br />proposed Merged Project Area contains a variety of soil <br />types and associated geotechnical constraints. Approval of <br />the proposed Merger would not result in geologic safety = <br />impacts, in that the proposed project does not involve any <br />development activities.
