2808.11.2 New material temperature control. New loads delivered to the facility shall be inspected and tested at the facility entry prior to taking delivery. Material with temperature exceeding 165 degrees Fahrenheit shall not be accepted on the site. New loads shall be monitored to verify that the temperature remains stable. SECTION 61: That section 14 -35 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended such that it reads as follows: Sec. 14 -35. Requirements for Wildland -Urban Interface Fire Areas (Chapter 49). (a) Section 4906.3 Vegetation is hereby revised by adding Section "(5)" as follows: (5) OCFA Vegetation Management Guidelines. (b) Section 4908 Fuel Modification Requirements for New Construction is hereby added as follows: 4908 Fuel Modification Requirements for New Construction. All new buildings to be built or installed in hazardous fire areas shall comply with the following: 1. Preliminary fuel modification plans shall be submitted to and approved by the fire code official concurrent with the submittal for approval of any tentative map. 2. Final fuel modification plans shall be submitted to and approved by the fire code official prior to the issuance of a grading permit. 2.1 The fuel modification plan shall include provisions for the maintenance of the fuel modification for perpetuity. 3. The fuel modification plans shall meet the criteria set forth in the Fuel Modification Section of the Orange County Fire Authority Vegetation Management Guidelines. 4. The fuel modification plan may be altered if conditions change. Any alterations to the fuel modification areas shall have prior approval from the fire code official. 5. All elements of the fuel modification plan shall be maintained in accordance with the approved plan and are subject to the enforcement process outlined in the Fire Code.
