TENANT SCREENING \[24 CFR 983.255\] <br /> <br />PHA Responsibility <br />The PHA <br />or suitability for tenancy. However, the PHA may opt to screen applicants for family behavior or <br />suitability for tenancy and may deny applicants based on such screening. <br />SAHA Policy <br /> <br />SAHA <br />tenancy, however, SAHA will conduct criminal background and credit checks <br />The PHA as shown <br />in the PHA records) and the name and address (if known by the PHA) of the <br />landlord and any prior landlords. <br />In addition, the PHA may offer the owner other information the PHA may have about a family, <br />including information about the tenancy history of family members or about drug trafficking and <br />criminal activity by family members.
