Armando provides daily instruction to construction academy trainees in construction <br />fundamentals. <br />Support Services Manager - Elfie Abril - 20% (in -kind) <br />Elfie manages the case management component of the program and its ongoing <br />development, which address the social and emotional issues that may prevent youth from <br />completing training and finding and keeping employment. He oversees counseling <br />services and facilitates social and emotional wellness support groups. <br />Career and Education Manager - Samantha Matilio - 20% (in -kind) <br />Samantha manages the Education Pathways component of the program and provides 24 <br />months of support to youth to help them achieve advanced certifications and enroll in and <br />persist through post- secondary degree programs or apprenticeship training programs. <br />Director of Finance - Nancy Loughrey - 5% <br />Nancy oversees all reporting requirements and tracking systems for all income and <br />expenses for the program. <br />Personnel benefits are charged at 24 %, which reflects the agency's historical <br />experience. <br />Operating Expenses <br />Taller San Jose is requesting $11,200 for student stipends. Taller San Jose pays each <br />student $100 per week of training and funding will support 12 students at a projected 70% <br />retention rate. Taller San Jose is not requesting funding for its other operating expenses, <br />including occupancy, internet fees /computer support, classroom supplies, office expenses, <br />accounting services and supportive services, but is providing them in -kind. <br />At the end of the narrative please explain the program documents, logs, youth timecards, <br />etc, that will be used to track work experience compensation or participant incentives <br />(i.e.: timecards, sign -in sheets, etc.). Please include the program forms as - =.- - = <br />Program documents included are a sample Trainee Handbook (Office Careers Academy) <br />and a Trainee Stipend Timecard (please see Attachment J), The Trainee Handbook is <br />received by youth during orientation and trainees are asked to sign and complete a shared <br />agreement indicating that they will comply with Taller San Jose policies and maintain <br />required attendance during their training. The handbook includes Taller San Jose's <br />Stipend Policy (page 24) that requires youth to submit a timecard that has been completed <br />by their program manager in order to receive their bi- weekly stipend. Daily training <br />attendance is recorded by program instructors and stipends may be reduced if youth are <br />absent. <br />EXHIBIT G <br />
