S. Ensure that part-time program participants will not work more than twenty (20) hours per week, <br />unless prior approval by H1B-OC Bridges to Engineering WORK Center staff has been given. <br />Ensure that full-time program participants will not work more than the maximum of forty (40) <br />hours per week. <br />9. Objectively evaluate the performance of each program participant. <br />10. Adhere to all State and Federal wage, labor and employment laws. <br />11. Comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1963 forbidding discrimination in employment. <br />12. Maintain a hazard -free and sanitary working environment for program participants, and make <br />certain all safety rules are followed. <br />13. Maintain program participants' time and attendance records on a daily basis and ensure the <br />participant and supervisor sign time cards. Time cards should be reviewed on the last day of the <br />pay period and ready to be faxed or e-mailed to the WORK Center on the designated day. <br />14. Maintain a copy of this MOU and the HIB -OC Bridges to Engineering Internship handbook on <br />hand at Worksite, and medical release (if required). Post all required Worker's Compensation <br />Information Bulletins in an area visible to program participants and supervisors. <br />15. Ensure that HIB -OC Bridges to Engineering WORK Center staff are notified of any program <br />participant employment problems at the earliest possible time. <br />16. Report all program participant accidents and injuries no less than 24 hours after the incident <br />occurs. <br />17. Worksite supervisors shall allow designated H1B-OC Bridges to Engineering WORK Center <br />staff, and State and Federal officials to perform on-site monitoring and visitation while program <br />participants are present. <br />18. Program participants will not be discharged from the Worksite unless first cleared with HIB -OC <br />Bridges to Engineering WORK Center staff. <br />19. Follow all rules and regulations governing the HIB -OC Bridges to Engineering Internship <br />program. <br />B. The WORK Center and the HIB -OC Bridges to Engineering Internship Program ensure and <br />agree to fulfill the following: <br />1. Provide an orientation to Worksite supervisors concerning Internship guidelines, California <br />Labor Laws, California Child Labor Laws and Program procedures. <br />2. Provide handbooks to program participants and Worksite supervisors that include an orientation <br />to the HIB -OC Bridges to Engineering Internship Program and outlines their responsibilities as a <br />participant/supervisor. <br />3. Provide program participant time cards to Worksite. <br />4. Process HIB -OC Bridges to Engineering Intern Program participant payroll and ensure wage <br />payment to progran participants.
