Section 8 <br />8.11 Farmland Protection Policy Act <br />Is any portion of the project located on important farmland? <br />9 No. The project will not impact farmland. <br />The project area is located in highly urbanized area within the City of Santa Ana. <br />The project area and surrounding area does not contain any existing agriculture <br />land uses. According to the California Farmland Mapping and Monitoring <br />Program, there is no Prime Farmland. Unique Farmland or Farmland of <br />Statewide Importance within the project area. The project areas are zoned for <br />park uses and there are no existing Williamson Act Contracts on properties within <br />the project area. The construction and operation of the Proposed Project would <br />not impact any farmland resources, <br />Mitigation Measures <br />No mitigation measures required. <br />Level of Impact <br />No adverse impact <br />8.12 Flood Plain Management <br />Is any portion of the project located within a 100-year floodplain as <br />depicted on a floodplain map or otherwise designated by the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency? <br />9 No. Provide a description of the project location with respect to streams and <br />potential floodpiains: <br />The primary surface water bodies within the vicinity project area include the <br />Santa Ana River, Greenville Banning Flood Control Channel and Centennial <br />Lake. The project site is located in Flood Rate Insurance Map 06059CO256J. As <br />shown in Figure 2!2- the FEMA Flood Hazard Map for the project area indicates <br />that both Centennial Park and the Heritage Museum are designated Flood Zone <br />D, areas with possible but undetermined flood hazards. The Santa Ana River and <br />the Greenville Banning Flood Control Channel are designated Flood Zone X, <br />areas of moderate flooding between the limits of the 100-year flood and 500-year <br />floods.
