It is a day that is
celebrated all over the globe every March. For six years, this event has inspired and
delighted the people of Santa Ana. Bringing vital exchanges through exhibitions,
workshops and guest speakers. Entertainment is an important part to this Woman's Day
Festival bringing important bands and female musicians from other cities. This Santa
Ana event is made possible with the help of many community volunteers, such as
mothers, students, eco- activists, and fine artists who have helped make Woman's Day
an annual success. This festival has given the people of Santa Ana a sense of
community, as we see more and more people interested in participating. For the 7th
International Woman's Day, our hope is to unite grander than ever as we expand our
capacity to support female artists. I want to be able to pay the women that have been
doing these workshops for years, along with the musicians and fine artists that make
this event possible. International woman's Day Festival is a rich expression of culture,
creativity, knowledge, and community engagement.
Workshops: Children's Art Activities, Medicinal Herbs, Indigenous Womb Health,
Crocheting, Paper Marbling, Flower Decorations, Female performances.
International Artist Day Festival (Festival del Dia Internacional del Artista) typically takes
place on October 25th in Canada and other places. It is a day to honor artists and
creative spirit. The purpose of this event is to bring together fellow artist to celebrate
and demonstrate what they do. We will reach out to local, state, and national art
agencies and collectives to participate, (i.e. ARTS OC, California Arts Council, and
Americans for the Arts). A variety of workshops will be presented, each showcasing a
different skill, promoting practices and art technique. We want to give the community an
event in which they can interact with active artists and learn artistic skills that aren't
