SANTA ANA MRF <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> POSITION/TITLE: Recycling and Waste Diversion Manger <br /> REPORTS TO: Division President <br /> DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> • Coordinate and maximize activities between the Company and the Service Areas <br /> regarding recycling. <br /> • Attend various City, Country and State recycling committee meetings. <br /> ■ Act as company liaison between the committees and the Division President. <br /> • Respond to all questions and needs. <br /> • Plan for future recycling business opportunities. <br /> • Analyze programs for maximum productivity and profitability. <br /> • Prepare reports and schedules in a timely manner. <br /> • Assist in budget preparation. <br /> • Propose new equipment, select vendors, coordinate installation, train employees <br /> on proper use. <br /> • Respond to customer inquiries/concerns. <br /> • Assure effective marketing of recycled products to maximize return on investment. <br /> • Work closely with Operations Manager and Materials Processing Supervisor to <br /> ensure product quality and smooth flow of materials through the Buy-Back and <br /> Processing Center. <br /> • Coordinate involvement in projects. Update Division President and Vice President <br /> on the progress of the project and perform other related duties as required. <br /> • Other duties as directed by the Division President. <br /> WORK EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: <br /> • Skills in supervision, planning, coordination, budget preparation, and public/human <br /> relations. <br /> ■ BA degree or higher in Business or Public Administration, Solid Waste <br /> Administration or similar field. <br /> ■ Ability to control costs through the competitive bid process. <br /> • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. <br /> • Comprehensive knowledge of the solid waste and resource recovery industry. <br /> • Understanding of WMI policies and goals. <br />
