Orange County, Batch co-op space, the People's Soap Company, Marcas Gallery, the LGBT <br />Center OC, Downtown Inc., Left of the Dial Records, and the Copper Door. <br />Additionally, OC Animal Care confirmed that they will give youth apprentices the information <br />and workshops intended to advance a career in animal care. (Refer to attachment F 12) <br />Staff will continue to pursue additional employer partnerships during the course of the program <br />to ensure that youth get a wide variety of employment options. SAPL staff members are working <br />closely with the following City departments to identify additional positions: Treasury <br />Department of the Finance and Management Services Agency, the Planning and Building <br />Agency, the City Attorney's Office, and the Santa Ana Zoo. <br />E. Include Letters of Commitment from employers as Attachment D. (Attached) <br />F. Include a copy of the Work Experience policy as Attachment E. (Attached) <br />6. Alternative Secondary School Services <br />A. Describe in detail the alternative secondary school services or dropout recovery services <br />that will be made available for youth. <br />The program will be partnering with Santa Ana College's Adult Continuing Education program <br />to provide additional dropout recovery education support programs to out -of -school youth <br />participating in the program (Please refer to Letter F2 from Sac Continuing Ed program. <br />B. Describe in detail the activities that will lead youth to attainment of secondary school <br />diploma or equivalent. <br />The following classes will be provided at no cost to out -of -school participants at the designated <br />Parks and Recreation -Library "Seeds To Trees" program training sites: <br />• Adult High School Diploma Program <br />• High School Exit Exam Preparation (GED, HSET, etc.) for participants requiring the <br />services <br />• Adult Basic Education (0 to 81h grade level) for participants needing additional assistance <br />in improving their basic literacy/numeracy skills. <br />These classes will aid greatly in dropout prevention and dropout recovery for youth participants <br />who are struggling with high school completion. Additionally, youth who have dropped out or <br />are in danger of dropping out will have additional hours assigned to their designated dropout <br />prevention/ recovery mentor. They will meet weekly with their mentor and receive one-on-one <br />help with their completion programs. <br />7. Preparation for Postsecondary Education and Training <br />A. Note: WIOA only accepts certificates that are accredited by a State reco¢nized <br />educational entity or are recognized by employers. <br />Certificates and college credit courses will be provided by Santa Ana College and/or SAC <br />Continuing Ed program. Students will be receiving certificates of completion for Microsoft <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
