The Certified EIR also concludedthat the <br />Approved Project was not located within a 100 -year floodplain. Therefore, the Revised Project <br />would not result in new significant: impacts, beyond those'identified in the.Certified EIR. No new <br />mitigation measure: are required. <br />:As stated in Rcaponse 2,8.g, a6ove;.ihe Project site is located in Zone X (dotted), an area <br />protected by levees front -I percent annual, chance flood (100 -year flood). Zone X (dotted) is <br />designated by FEMA as an Other Flood Area and is notconsidered it Special Flood Hazard Area. <br />Impacts related to failure of a levee are discussed in"Response 2.8.i, below. Because the Project is <br />not located within a special flood hazard area designated by FEMA,the Revised Project would <br />not place structures within n 100=year flood hazard area that would impede or redirect- Card <br />flows. Tlne'refore, no impacts related.to.placegient of structures in a 100 -year floodplain would <br />occur and no mitigatign is required. The Certified EIR' also concluded that the Approved Project <br />was not located within a 100 -year tloodpinin. No new mitigation measures <br />are required. <br />Mitigation Measures: <br />Eased on the analysis and information above, Mitigation MeasuresilYD-1 through HYD -3 included <br />in the Certified EIR for the Approved Project would be applicable to the Revised,Praject. <br />IIYD-1 All proposed drainage hnprovernents,,including project catch basins; shall be <br />designed and constructed in accordance with the" standards set by the City of Santa <br />Ana and by the Orange Cqunty Flood Control District.
