Approve an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Capital Improvement <br /> Program to include an additional $394,340 in construction funds for the Cypress <br /> Center Restoration Project (No. 22-6023). <br /> 2. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery cost <br /> of$3,894,340, which includes $3,322,512 for the construction contract, $239,578 <br /> for contract administration, inspection, and testing, and a $332,250 for <br /> unanticipated or unforeseen work. <br /> 3. Award a construction contract to Loengreen, Inc., the lowest responsible bidder, <br /> in accordance with the base bid in the amount of$3,322,512, subject to change <br /> orders, for construction of the Cypress Center Restoration Project (No. 22-6023), <br /> for a term beginning October 21, 2025, and authorize the City Manager to <br /> execute the contract. <br /> 4. Determine that, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act, the <br /> recommended actions are exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption <br /> Environmental Review No. 2025-096 will be filed for this Project No. 22-6023. <br /> GOVERNMENT CODE §84308 APPLIES: No <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The Cypress Center Restoration Project (No. 22-6023) consists of a rehabilitation and <br /> adaptive reuse of the historic Santa Ana Fire Station #4 located at 625 Cypress Avenue <br /> in Santa Ana, California (Exhibit 1). The original building is approximately 3,500 square <br /> feet, with a later addition of a 500 square foot carport at the rear side of the building, <br /> and sits on an 8,000 square foot lot of a residential block in the Pacific Park <br /> neighborhood. <br />
