<br />cluded in the design. Other Improvements Include bus shel-
<br />ters and bus turnouts, traffic signal modifications with bat-
<br />tety backup, pedestrian Countdown heads, and upgrades to LEC where possible. Signals will be.synchro-
<br />nized to reduce traffic congestion .and improve bus speeds.

<br />Wilidan provided civil and trafficc engineering and
<br />other appurtenant services for street Improvements
<br />betweenGordWs Avenue and Katelta Avenue. As
<br />one of three Improvement segments, the project In-
<br />volves raised medians with landscaping and irriga-
<br />tion, hardware, decorative street lights, electrical re--
<br />ceptacies for seasonal tree fighting, tree upiights and
<br />monument signs, Median improvements were opts -
<br />mined through traffic analysis and vehicle turning
<br />movement modeling.
<br />Crosswalks at tour signalized Intersections will be re-
<br />moved and replaced with Integral colored concrete. A
<br />storm drain on Serpentine Drive will be modified. Por-
<br />tions of the project limits will receive a 12 -inch -thick
<br />full -depth asphalt ooncrete over 9 -Inch -thick com-
<br />pacted subgrado. Wilidan assisted the City with public outreach to garner input through town hall meetings,
