Vijay is helping create existing and proposed surface,
analyzed and designed the driveways along South Street
to acquire minimum right of way for the new sidewalks. He
designed ADA curb ramps and created cross sections and
details for Individual parcels per City standards.
Redondo Beach Cycle Track, Redondo Beach, CA
(Civil Engineering Task Lead)
Vijay provided design engineering services for the
preparation of plans and estimates for proposed bicycle
friendly facilities along two important roadways within
Redondo Beach's Marina district, He provided conceptual
roundabout design gecmetrics that was presented in
public meetings as one of the project alternatives,
Hazard Avenue Corridor Bikeway Improvement
Project, Orange County, CA (Design Engineer)
Vijay provided engineering design services for a Class IV
bikeway along the Hazard Avenue Corridor through the
cities of Huntington Beach east to Santa Ana. The corridor
improvement begins near the Intersection of Boise Chica
Street in the City of Westminster and extends east to the
Santa Ana River In the City of Santa Ana, a distance of
approximately 14 miles. The project included a traffic study
to address the proposed'road distend convert traffic
lanes to Class IV on -street protected bike lanes.
South Street Gap Closure, Anaheim, CA
(Design Engineer)
Vijay helped create exlsting and proposed surface,
analyzed and designed the driveways along South Street
to acquire minimum right of way for the new sidewalks,
He designed ADA curb ramps and created cross sections
and details for individual parcels per the City of Anaheim
Standards.
Camino del Rio Roundabouts, San Clemente, CA
(Project Engineer)
Vijay assisted with the design for the earlier project
phases and assisted with final design plans for two large
roundabouts and other street improvements. The City
needed to address the potential for rising traffic volumes
along Camino de Los Mares and Camino del Ric due
to imminent completion of a new regional arterial link,
Neighbors were concerned about Increasing traffic
volumes and sought improvements that would improve
the neighborhood. The roundabout solution proved to be
well -received in addressing future traffic volume, speeding,
and safety Issues. We proceeded to provide full design
services for the roundabouts, including drought-tolorent
landscaping that is appropriate to the neighborhood and
improved circulation for pedestrians and bicyclists.
* Denotes projects completed with other firms
OC Great Park Sports Park, Irvine, CA
(Design Engineer)
Vijay Is providing civil engineering design services for
the sport park's development and design, which includes
176 acres of recreational sports and fully compliant
accessible site access, We are designing the precise
grading, drainage, sewer and water, and traffic facilities,
We are providing construction support services through
completion,
1.405 Sepulveda Pass Widening*, Los Angeles, CA
(Design Engineer)
Vijay designed and prepared construction documents,
prepared master traffic signs impact document far the
entire corridor during the bid preparation phase, and
coordinated with various disciplines to help ensure smooth
and timely project delivery, The project included widening
and realigning 20 existing on and off -ramps, removing
and replacing 3 bridge overcrossing structures, widening
14 mainline freeway under crossings, and replacing
6 ramp bridges. Key challenges included installing 18
miles of retaining and sound. walls and performing road
improvements on adjacent city streets,
SR-91/55157 PSR, Irvine, CA (Design Engineer)
Vijay is helping preparing PSR/PDS, develop alternatives,
detailed cost estimate, alternative schematics, typical
cross sections, preliminary layouts, right of way acquisition
exhibits. This study also explores continued improvements
for the SR-55 and SR-91 freeway Interchange complex, as
well as evaluation of overall road capacity needs between
the two major Interchanges, Improvements to the SR-91
corridor and the Interchanges will alleviate congestion
and accommodate the needs for mobility, access, goods
movement, and future traffic demands,
2
