Hydrologic calculations were performed according to the County of San. Diego
Hydrology Manual requirements using, HEC-HMS for the highly urbanized 116 square -
mile watershed, The 10-, 50-,100-, and 500-year, 24-hour hydrographs were computed
for use in the subsequent hydraulic modeling, Hydraulic modeling was performed using
HEC-RAS and consisted of evaluating the existing conditions to determine baseline.
hydraulio values. Various roadway alignments, bridge geometries, and channel grading.
options were modeled and evaluated using HEC-RAS to determine the optimum
configuration which met the County's design objectives.
Stone Canyon Crook LOMR ( City of Poway
Project engineer responsible for performing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for
Stone Canyon Creek within the City of Poway. Hydrologic calculations were performed
using HEGHMS to generate inflow hydregraphs at various points of interest for use
in the subsequent hydraulic modeling. The hydraulic analyses consisted of rnodeling
storm drains, culverts, Stone Canyon Creek, and its tributary using XP-SWMM, Storm
drains, culverts, and the main channel of Stone Canyon Creek and its tributary were
analyzed under unsteady, line-dlmensionai flow assumptions. Shallow flow resulting
from culvert and storm draln overflow and Stone Canyon Creek overbank flow were
modoled In two -dimensions.
Camarillo Center Hydrologic/Hydraulics Study I California Conservation
Corps
Project engineer who assisted in performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to
evaluate various flood control mitlgation alternatives for the existing facilities at. the
Callfornla Conservation Corps' (CCC) Camarillo Center in Ventura County, California.
In March 2011, the Camarillo Center experienced a rain event that generated
approximately 5-6 inches of precipitation. The off•site drainage conditions created
significant flooding issues as off -site drainage ditches lacked adequate capacity for
this large event. The hydrologic and hydraulic portions of the study evaluated various
storm events, including the 1C0 year, 24-hour storm.
