additional evaluation. If itis determined the trainee is riot responsive to:training, the <br />trainee will be terminated from the program after consultation and approval from HR and <br />a Care Ambulance Director., if the trainee has successfully completed all, -aspects of the <br />program, he or she will be released from the FTEP program and able to work without <br />restriction. The employee will complete a'full F_ TEP evaluation used for.quality <br />improvement. <br />Continuing Education Programs <br />Care Ambulance is approved by the Orange County LEMSA to provide continuing <br />.education for medical professionals in California. and award state -recognized continuing <br />education hours. <br />Care Ambulance Service' has always had a commitrrient to and a reputation for service <br />excellence. This'well deserved reputation can be attributed to the Care Ambulance <br />philosophy that employees are our most important asset. We treat employees as <br />valuable customers and give them the tools to be successful. These tools include <br />training and education, and equip the employee_ toprovide_ exceptional service to <br />external customers. <br />Care Ambulance provides continuing education through a variety of venues, described <br />in detail below., <br />• 'Annual Mandatory Training <br />• <br />On -Line Education <br />• In -House Training <br />• Tailboard_ Training <br />• Classes on Various Topics <br />Field Training Officer Meetings <br />• Conference Attendance <br />• Management. Development <br />• Annual Mandatory Training <br />Annual Mandatory Training is a requirement for all .field employees. Topics such as <br />Blood and Airborne Pathogens,.Emergency Vehicle'Operations, Customer Service, <br />Incident Command System, Hazardous Materials, and Patient Care Documentation are <br />covered. Topics that are discussed in the QI Committee, or the TAG are also instructed <br />during this time. Continuing Education credit is given for those subjects that meet the <br />criteria for CE approval. <br />• On -Line Education <br />Care Ambulance pays for every field employee to be enrolled in the Virtual Solutions <br />Manager (CE Medic) on-line education program. The,prograni is explained to <br />employees in the New Employee Orientation. Each. employee is given their personal <br />password to access the program. <br />• In -House Training <br />There are times when training and education is facilitated in-house by outside providers. <br />Examples of this.are Incident Command System 200.and 300,.EMS Basic Supervisory. <br />16 <br />250-273 <br />
